NFL Wealth Management Workshop
Challenge
While it’s commonly believed that 78% of NFL players go bankrupt within two and a half years of leaving the league, the reality is this stat is incorrect and even if it was - the results are far more nuanced. Beyond financial mismanagement, many players face a loss of identity and struggle to transition to life outside of professional sports for a variety of reasons.
Solution
To address these challenges, the NFL partnered with Copeland Media to consult on the development of their annual Wealth Management Workshop and to serve as the moderator/emcee of the entire event.
Results
Together they created, a unique and memorable experience which received perfect reviews by all attendees. This will hopefully lead to healthier dialogue amongst players beyond the event, in the locker rooms and an even richer experience next year as the NFL looks to continue to invest in the development of its players.
