New York Jets
March 2018 - February 2020
After spending the 2017 season rehabbing on the Lions’ injured reserve, he signed with the New York Jets in March 2018. With a renewed hunger to compete after a year layover, Brandon won the starting outside linebacker position, a personal milestone on his bucket list. Brandon went on to produce career highs with 35 tackles, 5 sacks, 8 TFLs, 14 quarterback hits, and two passes defenses, while still playing all four core special teams.

Detroit Lions
April 2015 - February 2018
After visiting multiple teams, Brandon signed with the Detroit Lions where he played for familiar faces in head coach Jim Caldwell and defensive coordinator Teryl Austin (both previously coaching for the Baltimore Ravens). After two years of being a special teams standout and versatile defensive presence for the Lions, Copeland was ready to make the jump to starting outside linebacker. Unfortunately he tore his pectoral tendon in the very first preseason game.

Not Good Enough for the NFL
October 2014 - March 2015
After being released (fired) from the Titans and having no teams offer him a roster spot, Brandon gave himself a single calendar year to get back into the NFL. Given the time restraints, he signed up to play Arena football for the Orlando Predators, which lasted less than a day before he received an invitation to the NFL Veteran Combine. He ran a laser timed 40-yard dash in 4.51 seconds and went from zero to sixteen NFL job offers immediately following the combine.

Tennessee Titans
October 2013 - September 2014
In 2014, he was cut from the Titans practice squad after only two weeks with the team. The entire 2014 season Copeland trained at home praying for another chance to play. The phone rang infrequently and after a couple of promising workouts with teams he still had no offer.

Baltimore Ravens
April 2013 - September 2013
Entering the NFL in 2013 as an undrafted free agent Brandon began his rollercoaster career in his hometown with the Baltimore Ravens. After growing up cheering for them, he had become one of them, which was a dream come true. After a four week stint on the practice squad, he was released and signed with the Tennessee Titans two weeks later.
